Terms of use

Last updated November 8, 2026.

These terms cover the Tidecards website (tidecards.com). By creating an account or using it, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Tidecards.

What Tidecards is

Tidecards is a flashcard tool that schedules reviews with spaced repetition. It comes with ready-made decks and lets you make your own.

Your account

  • You need to be at least 13 to use Tidecards.
  • Keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
  • One person per account. Don’t create accounts automatically or in bulk.

Your decks

  • Only add text and pictures you’re allowed to use, for your own study.
  • So Tidecards can work, you let it store your decks and show them back to you, and keep them until you delete them or your account. They aren’t used for anything else.

Things not to do

  • Don’t try to break into, overload or get around the limits of Tidecards or other people’s accounts.
  • Don’t scrape Tidecards except for the public deck pages, as search engines do.
  • Don’t use Tidecards for anything illegal, including copyright infringement.

We may suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.

Copyright complaints

If you hold the rights to something you believe is in Tidecards without permission, email [email protected] saying what it is and where it appears. We’ll look into it and remove it where appropriate.

No guarantees

Tidecards is provided as it is. The built-in decks are checked by hand, but facts change and mistakes happen; if you spot one, please tell us. The service may change, be unavailable, or stop, and features may be added or removed. Export your data on the Account page whenever you want a copy.

As far as the law allows, Tidecards and the people who run it aren’t liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from using it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that the law doesn’t let us limit.

Ending

You can stop using Tidecards and delete your account at any time on the Account page. We may end the service, with notice by email where we can.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version goes on this page with a new date. For significant changes we’ll also let you know by email or on the site. Using Tidecards after a change means you accept the new terms.
